I recently moved out of working in outside sales after 20+ years and into "hands-on" manufacturing and one of my new employer's requirements is steel toe work shoes/boots,as they are very safety conscious,so after looking at dozens of designs and manufacturers,I chose the Caterpillar Riggers.A little background. I've been wearing dress shoes or sneakers for an eternity,so switching to work boots has been a drastic change for my feet, especially since I am now on my feet 10+ hours a day and never had any arch support. When I put the Riggers on for my first day of work, they fit great and buying the "duck foot" wide models was a real saving grace. Here is where the problem came in. Feet that have never had arch support, tend to HATE arch support! By the end of my first day of work,I wanted to take these boots off and throw them into the river ... they hurt my feet that much. Day two ... not much better, but by day four,my feet began to adjust to the boots and I could almost say they are comfortable ... but not just yet,I need a few more weeks of wearing them to be 100% sure. Now for the good news. These Caterpillar Riggers are built extremely well/tough and are properly advertised as so. They are probably worth more $ than I paid for them ... so buy yours now,as I could only find this model at Amazon. The seller was great and the boots arrived before their projected delivery date.Once my "stupid feet" become completely adjusted to their new home,I am sure that I will get years of comfortable and safe service out of my Caterpillar Riggers.
